	February 12th, 2012 Sunday Social: Winterlude Drive Join us for our annual driving tour of the Winterlude sights and events. Drive starts around 1pm. Cost is $5 for the drive. Bring along some extra change for a coffee stop Call OWCS office to sign up, 613-728-6016.
	March 18th,, 2012 Sunday Social: Sugar Bush Outing Enjoy a beautiful early spring drive out to Templeton's Sugar camp and relax with a delicious sugar bush meal in prime maple tapping season. To register call the office at 613-728-6016
	Thursday Shopping: OWCS offers on extra shopping trip every month on the third Thursday. Cost is just $5 for transporatation, with pick-ups starting around 10am. Upcoming trips are February 16th, to Walmart, Baseline Rd; and March 15th, to South Keys Shopping Complex. To sign up please call the OWCS office at 613-728-6016.
	OWCS Shopping Buses: OWCS offers regular bi-weekly grocery shopping trips to the Carlingwood Loblaws to help seniors purchase groceries easily and safely. Trips are organized according to neighbourhoods, and run on Tuesdays and Wednesday. If you or someone you know could benefit from this service, please contact OWCS at 613-728-6016 and register to be on our regular shopping rotation. Cost is $5 per trip. Adult Day Program

Adult Day Program in Ottawa OWCS offers Adult Day Support Programs for seniors Monday to Thursday each week. This program provides supervised activities in a group setting that promote health and well being as well as an opportunity for socialization for seniors living in isolation, with physical frailty or with Alzheimers/dementia. This program is also designed to give respite to the Day Program client’s primary caregiver. Day Program clients are frequently entertained by volunteer musicians, dancers and even story tellers. The Day Program also receives visits from local professionals and advocates who speak on a wide variety of current topics of interest. Day Program clients may be offered opportunities to go on special outings to places like the sugar bush.

The Adult Day program runs from Monday to Thursday each week onsite at the OWCS office (1137 Wellington Street W) from 10:00am – 2:00pm. A hot meal is provided for lunch and transportation Is available as resources permit.

During the 2010-2011 fiscal year, 123 clients were provided with 2,624 days of service.

Cost: The Adult Day Program is $15.00 a day and transportation is an extra $5.00.
